Treasure Chest for Fresh Produce
Sabah Cheshire Home & Services (SCHS) is a registered, private, non-profit and charitable organization. The Home focuses on providing care to individuals with special needs regardless of race, religion and culture through residential care and training to promote independence.
SCHS officially registered as a charity organization on 16 July 1974 and has two homes built under the organization located in Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan. Currently, the Home has 30 residents and 22 preschoolers with learning disabilities attending classes in their Early Intervention Centre. Besides, the Home also has a staff force of 42 individuals whereby some have impaired hearing or slow learning disabilities but are still able to understand instructions.
It was brought to Pac Lease Berhad’s attention that SCHS was in urgent need of a chiller to store all their fresh produce as the current one donated by another donor back in 2014 had started to give issues to SCHS due to the need for repairs. Thus, forming part of our CSR initiative, primarily under the pillar of Community, we have donated a brand-new chiller to Sabah Cheshire Home & Services Kota Kinabalu! We hope that everyone in SCHS gets to enjoy their new chiller through the abundance of meals prepared from fresh ingredients every day!
