By Evon Lee (CSR Committee) and Tanny Yap (CSR Chairperson)
Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kasih Sayang Alam Damai “Kasih Sayang Old Folks’ Homes”, a non-government organisation (NGO), established on 21 December 2021, is totally dependent on donations and fundraising from the public and social enthusiasts.
The centre aims to provide a comfortable home and maximum care for the elderly who have difficulty moving, disabled and suffering with the hardships of life. The centre has accommodated 15 abandoned old folks and the number is still increasing. Most of them are over 60 years old and some of the elderly cannot move well, some need to undergo treatment/ therapy frequently which require transport arrangements, and to send them to a nearer hospital.
As part of our CSR initiatives, we have been providing financial support to Kasih Sayang Old Folks’ Homes to support their daily needs / groceries (i.e. rice, chicken meat, cooking oil, milk powder, and diapers), monthly expenses of utilities & rental of centre, medical expenses, etc.
