Hope Over the Rainbow
As we watch the coronavirus pandemic play out on a global scale, it’s easy to feel helpless. However, we can still make a difference no matter big or small based on our current circumstances. As such, the CSR committee at Pac Lease Berhad has still carried out various programmes and initiatives as a way to assist some organisations through their hardships especially during these moments of crisis. In line with our CSR framework, we have donated RM2,000 respectively to Trinity Community Children (TCC) Home and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Peribadi Mulia.
Fully established in December 2006, the Trinity Community Children Home is a sanctuary for orphaned, single parented, abused and neglected children. The main aim of TCC Home is to provide these children with care and a hope for a new life despite what they have been through. Education for the children is provided with opportunities for higher level education should they want to pursue it. Currently, the Trinity Community Children Home is located at Petaling Jaya under the care of Pastor Wendy Hew.
Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Peribadi Mulia, in short – Peribadi Mulia, is an orphanage centre established on Christmas day of 2012 by Puan Siti Salmiah Ismail. It currently accommodates a total of 83 children alongside 4 single mothers at Prima Saujana, Kajang. The centre is maintained mainly through public donations.
The donation of RM2,000 is split between a donation of funds and groceries that were ordered online to minimise the physical contact for the safety of the children. We hope that our gesture will bring a smile to the children’s faces from both organizations and further strengthen their beliefs that love and caring does exist in this world.
