Ending the year with Gifting
“Like most other welfare homes affected by COVID-19, the Sunteck Handicapped Welfare Home in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, is in dire straits. The pandemic has caused a decline in the home’s number of visitors and supporters, leaving the residents in urgent need of help.”
– The Sun Daily, 22 December 2020
In 2020, we are grateful that our company has endured during these trying times and we extend the gratitude forward to Sunteck Handicapped Welfare Home to end the year with gifting.
Established on Malaysia Day (16 September) in 2014, the Sunteck Handicapped Welfare Home focuses on providing care to individuals with special needs, particularly those with Trisomy 21 otherwise known as Down’s Syndrome, muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy among others. Currently, 21 individuals between the ages 15 – 65 call the home, their home.
Co-ordinating with Hannah, a volunteer at Sunteck, we have provided some household items such as washing detergent, cooking oil and antiseptic liquid alongside some face masks – a COVID-19 necessity to the welfare home.
